That's really not the thing to say here. I take cheques from people all the time, mostly clients, my renters, etc.

What you should be saying is "have a look at the cheque as soon as the person is finished writing it and make sure it's filled out correctly!"

I should have said a personal check. No I have had it taken care of, I was at the bank at 9:30am it 11:48am now and I have to wait till 5pm when he gets home from work.
To be honest with you it was written just like all the other I have taken from him, the lady was just being nasty.

Yes, that's what I meant too.. I take a lot of personal cheques. My website clients and renters mostly all pay with personal cheques. The odd time a tenant has bounced a cheque to me, but I always gets paid because I knows where they live :D

Maybe you should go back to that bank and tell the manager you are going to pull all of your banking out of their shitty bank if that's the way they treat their customers. How long have you been with them? I've been at my bank for over 16 years now, and if anyone there ever fucking talked to me like that and basically accused me of wrong-doing I would blast them big time, and I WOULD move my business to another bank in before the manager could shit his or her pants.
