Beirut bombings violate humanitarian law: UN

I think that people can protect themselves from terrorists, but some go overboard.

UN emergency relief chief Jan Egeland has condemned Israeli air strikes that have devastated much of Beirut, saying the massive bombings violate humanitarian law.

When it wasn't enforcing any of it's own resolutions in Iraq?
When it was arguing if what happened in Darfur was genocide or not?

Seriously, the UN is an outdated, powerless organization that passes "resoultions" as if somebody actually cared what they had to say. By now everyone knows you can just ignore the UN, no problems. Just as GW.

Since when hasn't Israel broken UN law? It is only the US veto the allows the comfort to do whatever they want. I honestly wonder how long it will take people in the US to work out who is pulling the strings when it comes to foreign policy.
