    Contest Win $100

    Ok here's the deal. We are developing some new mainstream traffic sites (non-adult) and need a new logo. It's all around the concept...

    youwanna__________.com

    youwannaloan.com
    youwannamate.com

    etc. etc.

    I am going to run a contest on here this weekend. Everyone who wants enter the contact should develop a graphical logo for the 'youwanna' concept that we can use for our design work. Simply post your entries here on this thread. We'll pick the best one at noon on Monday and i'll Paypal $100 to the winner. The payment will be consideration and full transfer of ownership of the design to our company. I know there are some great designers on here so let's have some fun. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    And keep in mind it's non-adult so you know...

                              Bump... Too bad nobody is taking this seriously. I thought there were some more creative designers in here that could spend 15 minutes and make $100. It's easy enough to hire a goon on scriplance or elance to do this but i sure thought this would be more fun.

                                      Can you explain a little more about what you are looking for? any direction you are looking for? you want a logo for the 'youwanna' concept, in other words you want a logo designed for "youwanna" with the abilty to plug in any word with it?

                                          You got it exactly right! We want to brand youwanna and marry it with a lot of other sites. Similar to ebay, google, etc. We need to brand "youwanna" and want a catchy little logo to be standardized for it....

                                                      No offence, but I was going to throw up a couple of designs, now I, along with most designers would charge alot more for a logo design, but I tend to throw something together on here when there is a $100 contest, because it can be worth it to get a potential new client.

                                                      But then I thought about it and feel there is no way I would go and put up a design for a possible $100 for "A Logo Concept" that will be branded and used throughout multiple websites - example something like EBay. That is worth a hell of alot more then $100.

                                                          You know i guess noone is getting the opportunity here. Which is fine. I don't understand your comments about the difference between a logo concept and a quick logo. It would take a good designer maybe an hour of time to develop maybe 6 different designs for a logo. By posting different designs up here every designer will be exposing their talent to 1000's of webmasters. I end up getting a logo that is only worth $100 anyway. I can get any number of designers to design a simple logo for $100. Just thought this would be a creative way for me to look at multiple designs and also give exposure to a bunch of designers and you are right. You might just get a new client out of it. Like me or someone else on this board. And imagine the possibilities if our concept takes off like Ebay. You were the one who developed the logo. That is worth way more than I would ever pay you.

                                                                              Maybe you did not understand what i was saying, i have entered many contests here for $100, the possibilty of new clients IS worth it, but usually a $100 logo contest is for a logo for someone's site. What you are asking for is something that you will brand across many sites and make a lot more then $100 from. That is all i was saying, just did not seem worth it to me.

                                                                              By the way could you tell me who it was that designed the logo for EBay or Google off the top of your head? Exactly
