it would piss me off, chances are it would work much like digg's in that everytime i digg something it asks me if completely irrelevant articles are duplicates
besides most of the time the gfy threads are intentional duplicates
like "spam me with blowjob sponsors" 5 years ago is useless
or just exercise this amazing power to only click on one of the threads?
amazing that you would mention the word "exercise".
I was trying to help sort through all of the triple post topics. A "digg type" filter sounded like a good way to warn the poster that his/her topic was already posted. What's wrong with that? Having a bad day? Got heartburn?

I just never get why people appear to be so upset by things being posted twice. I do get it when there is a breaking story and people decide they each need to start a thread about it but if it is two or so posts on the same topic in a spread out period I don't see the big deal.
I also don't see the need to get into personal attacks but you know, having lost nearly a 100lbs now I think I am allowed to use the word 'exercise'. Thanks.
where did I get upset?
does this sound like I am upset?
"DIGG filter for GFY
We need a filter like the one DIGG uses to check for duplicate content BEFORE you submit the link/article/thread.
What do you think? "
I didn't even post a frowny face.
Which is why I said, having a bad day?
Fine..I also wasn't try to jump on your idea and perhaps interpreted it as one of those 'timeline' type responses which get a bit tired. I wasn't getting personal. So, relax and good night.

might help if they had a "delete thread" button that the thread poster could click within 2 minutes or something
most of the good ideas for gfy won't ever happen because change is not good for gfy. gfy is and has been #1 for awhile , and they dont do much to keep it that way other than not doing anything heh.
They cant get any higher on the adult forum ladder.
What would be cooler though is to allow people to "lock" threads. like lets say every week every gfy member gets 3 "bullets" they can use to kill a thread with. if a thread gets 50 bullets , it dies and gets locked.
