You and Me and Dupree
what a cast... michael douglas, owen wilson, kate hudson, matt dillon....
its a movie that starts out like it might be ok... you kinda have this hope that it will be sort of predictable and obvious in its humor... but cute and amusing none the less.
then after a few minutes (by a few minutes, i mean BEFORE the opening credits finish) it starts a nose dive. and i mean nose dive in the sense of a fully loaded Boeing 777 losing power at cruising altitude. it gets worse... then a little worse... then a little worse until it finally begins to appear as if it was some morbid experiment to test the patience and tolerance levels of people in the theater in an attempt to figure out exactly what % will leave, and what % of people would just start randomly attacking others sitting next to them out of sheer annoyance.
much like watching Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown speaking out for 110 minutes against drug abuse, it gets so bad that by the end, you even start to feel embarassed for the actors.
