How long does it take you to get all five trees decorated? I remember one year I got this huge tree, decorated like half of it, then got drunk for days and never finished it. I think I wanted to set it on fire.  |
I usually get everything up in two days- Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving. Several of my girl cousins and girlfriends are still in town then, so I force them to help me. We do the same thing- get the blender out, get liquored up, and start decorating. Sometimes it doesn't turn out exactly right and I have to re-do it the next day.
The two big trees are pre-lit, so they're not too bad. Pre-lit trees are money well spent, since getting the lights out and putting them on was the part I hated most.
The other three are small trees- 3 or 4 feet. They sit on the dressers or on a piece of furniture, so they don't take that long either.
