    Contest Finalists - Which Would You Choose?

    Well the Design A Site For Dawson contest is over - it was run on here and Stan's AdultDesignContest.com site - I was worried at first that I may have pissed away $1500 for a $300 tour but it worked out the way I hoped - got to see various concepts - the winner will come from this group, and i'll probably try to buy another one. Photos will change on some of them - some designers aren't great at photo selection.

      Out of all of them B.

      Every other one shows to much and does not understand the concept of tease. Hell most of them you all ready get to see the nipples and the coochie so unless she is hardcore there is no umph to get them in to discover her real personality.

      Some are also utterly cheesy, not naming which though out of respect of the work that may have went into them.

      BTW I do not care as much about flashy or pretty, I am just thinking overall.

                                      All designs are dull, but my vote goes for C, at least it grabs your attention, I've seen all other before. And many many times, for $1500 you'd expect a little originality

                                                                                                      no - don't mind - we did like yours - it's polished and we liked the Flash - i should have posted it here with the others - but there are three here that we had pretty much narrowed it down to - and posted others to see if maybe we missed one - yours is definitely nice, better than some of these. this is why contests suck - there's only one winner and everybody feels their's is the best. i saw the NatNet logo contest - i don't think the best logo won that one and i'm sure lots of people will think i will pick the wrong one too.

The kitti2x one looks nice too, far better than a couple of the selection poll (imho, of course). ie, I still don't see why the hype about G design, it looks more like a long gallery or FPA where you barely see the site name, the join button is almost the same color as the BG and put just in the opposite way you'd put it, ie bottom right or center, that's basic design and marketing. On a multiple selection poll I'd choose C, B, D, A and Kitti2x designs

                                                                                                                                  like i told kitti2x - a couple of the designs were posted here and aren't as nice as his/hers(?) because somebody really liked them - the black one Dawson really likes for instance.

                                                                                                                                  very surprised that (D) hasn't got much feedback

                                                                                                                                  (G) has a great element in it - the big photo of her is very cute, it's a perfect photo for a tour splash page - she looks cute, young and she's naked but it's softcore - it's over photoshopped tho, look at her ass - she has no butt crack left haha

                                                                                                                                              I hope it continues like that Anyway, both my designs share a concept, and even though C is already doubling in votes the second one, which is very flattering, I see D is 3rd in votes. Both designs combined have more votes than all the remaining together, which I think proves my concept is right: people is ready for unique ideas. I took the "risk", and even tho I was convinced it wasn't a risk at all, it already paid off.

                                                                                                                                              As for changes... well, keep in mind this is a contest. When I do a design, I work close to the customer, we exchange ideas and work on different aspects to get a final result that fits the taste of the customer. In a contest, I work with what I consider will be best. And it's not like I did this kind of designs for the first time, I already made several of them, and they're doing awesome, I remember Biggy posting some stats for a design I did for him, more or less the same style as these tours and he was doing more sales per day than most programs in a month. I'm not bragging nor anything, just trying to put some objectiveness in what may look extremely subjetive.

                                                                                                                                              As for pics selection... well, Mutt knows well, and I'm sure he'll tell what's needed. I've experimented with tease/show and always find out you need to balance. Hence why I chose one pic showing tits, once showing ass and the remaining ones just teasing. This way I think the surfer knows POSITIVELY he'll find her nude. And he'll want to see more of the non nude sets knowing she'll be nude, as opposite to many solo sites where you don't know if she'll be covered and teasing or if she'll give something for the buck. Again, if I win, I'll change any pic if needed. And I guess any of the designers here would do the same
