                              it works off a single template , but i can do anything you want with it as long as its possible because of the way it works it caches all results in files as they are searched ( it doesnt have to but it works faster this way ) it also cache's the keywords so its possible to add your own html to each individual keyword or random html to each keyword etc .

                                                                  The way it is now, it seems it would be hard to match the correct ads with the correct videos. Seems like there's a big risk of violating sponsor's tos.

                                                                  Also expect a ton of pissing from other webmasters when they notice their bandwidth bill has gone through the roof.

                                                                      Im open to hearing from any that would be offended , in every case a backlink is provided to the person HOSTING the video ( assumption being they will then have a link to the sponsor )

                                                                      The service is based on yahoo video search so they are doing it but not always providing a baclink to either the sponsor or ther hoster , at least im giving one of them a backlink ( a real backlink not an se backlink that wont get credit on other se's )

                                                                      I have provided a backlink to the providers of the videos directly , see above post for a better explanation and try out yahoo video searc and see the difference , who's site would you rather be on , a tiny link with no credit or my glowing link that you will get credit for..

                                                                                                  also what exactly does this script do? searches for pages with videos and loads them in your own page/site??? that's basically hotlinking, which means you should be ready to take a lot of heat, most peeps don't really care if you hotlink a pic pr two, but gazillion videos, hmmmm

                                                                                                          nope you pretty well hit the nail on the head with your assumption..

                                                                                                          every site that is "hotlinked" is given full credit in the form of a link. i think thats pretty fair. the service is based on yahoo video search so currently the same videos are being displayed on yahoo , but they dont always give you a linkback , and you certainly wont get an "se " benefit from having your video on yahoo , whereas my service you get both a linkback AND a real "backlink" additionally yahoo video search basically stores a whole tgp/mgp in its databse so theres no real reason for a surfer to go to the site because all the videos are sorted for the surfer , whereas mine there is an incentive to actually go to the site that hosts the video in hopes to find more videos

                                                                                                          also i should add you can only get 100 videos from each domain unlike yahoo that will display 10,000 videos froma site ( i.e. every video )

                                                                                                                  thats strange .. no special security settings are needed , just default i.e. or default firefox.. if filecabi.net played im using the same basic controls so it should have worked..

Without giving too much away, I assume you are parsing the media rss module, correct? It is very robust with the number of secondary elements they have added over the last year. I am working with the media module on a mainstream project and I like working with it a lot. If you are not using the media module, but parsing the results directly, I'd consider using the feed they have for you to save on lines of code, although I don't see any speed issues currently, that may change when more and more people use your script/service.
