So far only two of the US hosts i have tried have shown they care about the customers and know what it takes to keep your site running and secure
Its:
FlyingCroc - im not with them now, because I dident own the site hosted by them, and they are to expensive for me
Phatservers - im not with them now, because they closed my servers while i was in the hospital. I do however not blame them. I think I would have done the same
I would recommend people to use phatservers - both for virtual and dedicated servers
Some of the hosts i would advice people to stay far away from:
Dreamhost - i don't think they can even spell security
Nakedhosting - worse support and stability i have ever seen. Cant even keep a $500/year virtual account running with 300 hits a day
Webair - I don't know who is in charge of support, but half of the people are clueless. The tech department simply cant keep the promises the sales-guys make
right now im hosting 99% of my sites on a LOCAL danish server. I still have a few sites on my nakedhosting account, but that is only a matter of time before I have moved them over.

LOL, dreamhost is where I got this problem from. I felt they were one step up from godaddy who I considered the worst support and customer concern around (though I have made some good cash with the sites I have on them due to their cheap bandwidth so I guess you get what you pay for).
Anyway, dreamhost seems cool as far as getting back to you and correcting mistakes, though so far I've only stuck my big toe in the water with them, but I will take your advice and look into those other hosts.
I do like paying for cheap hosts though because I've never failed to profit (and pay all my bills) using this technique, but I do plan on stepping things up so it's probably time to look into some quality hosting. Probably have to learn some new things about network admin though.
Thanks again
