Well, things were a bit different then. Since condoms and birth control weren't around the possiblity of having child after child was a lot higher then than it is today. Still, its sad that sex has always been looked at in this way until recently in our history. I've even heard bran was first invented as way to keep husbands shitting all day so they have no interest in sex, lol.
