I think they bank off the auctions, and adding the $30 on top of the existing bid... but i would bet most transfer as soon as they win a bid.

The price is a tad lower if you're a reseller for them. That's probably where most of the domains come from.

namecheap are one of their big resellers.

Yeah, they have tons of resellers who do their bulk, along with their drop business
