you've just brought yourself up to the same playing field as statsremote.. if you end up losing your free version altogether eventually, i can't see a reason to use nifty when there's statsremote?

I've used SR shortly longer time ago. I like NS more. It looks better, does what I need and is faster.
Now I'm going to check payouts function, it could be very useful.

1. Other than TeenRevenue/Real Teen Cash, I get notifications from almost every sponsor anyways.
2. I don't need a daily report, when I can see if in Nifty already.

4. There no where else i'd want to be installing it!

You know i'm a fan and all, but this is upsetting, if you want to completely OWN the market and steal away all the NS clients, you'd be smart to offer a low monthly price point, like i'm talking introductory price of $5.00 a month until you start getting your recurring base up. Hell for that I would even sign up. Then raise the price to $10.00 after say 6 months when everyone has 6 months of data and is used to the new format and colors. Then in 2010 put it at $20.00 and keep it there.

By starting out at StatsRemote pricing, you just killed your paid product right out of the gate. Know your competition, deflate those egos. Good luck though.

I see no reason to use this over statsremote. Other then the fact this seems to have developer who is working on the product. Statsremote is the same pretty much for the last 4 years.

Ditto! I was all excited.. I'd pay $10 a month or something like that. Then I looked and the price is only $5 cheaper than SR... WTF? The only extra features is emailed reporting? I think I'll stick with the free.

I have an idea.. How about a compromise? A pro version with ads at a lower price!

i was thinking this last night... making the price so high is going to stun their growth.. they have a formidable opponent in programs like SR... NS should create 'value'... right now i don't see the value over SR (dont have experience with any others)

If you go through your payout from the different programs, you will proberly find that a LOT of programs forget to send the check or epass, or the amount is not correct.

I have posted about it before, Boneprone have, and I think it was either Will or Flex that did it as well.

I use Nifty Stats, and will upgrade to the paid version as soon as I get my new office rebuild.

I would buy this if you had the ability to add our own programs to the db. Nifty has a few programs that I use which are not in their database. If I could add them manually, like chameleon tgp submitter lets me add tgps, it would be worth upgrading to the paid version. Otherwise Ill keep the free version.

There was actually a free program like this a couple of years ago. Users would upload fixes that would download stats for new programs. Problem was there is too many variables involved in doing something like this. Programs kept changing the way they do stats. Most users kept bitching for fixes instead of making their own fixes. I thought it was a great idea too.. but total waste of time. It's best to let the fixing up to someone else.

Because anyone worth their salt doesn't need a feature like this to begin with. I already know right now in my accounting programs which sponsors owe me money. This feature is for the fly by night affiliates.

TIPS: You should make an import tool from StatsRemote to Nifty Stats.
Make it worth my while to check out your stats program.
Give me the professional version for a year free or up until my subscription ends on StatsRemote.

I take what I said about Nifty Stats - and why I reccomend it - back

I tested Nifty Stats, and really liked it, and was just about to upgrade to the Pro version.

Just to test a few things I went in to the DB file and was quite shocked that all my passwords and usernames was stored in the database, UNencrypted, in a big flat file.

I dont do drama, but this is a security issue I think the users should be aware of.

The program default install path is in "C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data"

That folder is assessible by some Browserplugins
