    Messin' with a new cellphone cam [PIC]

    Just messin' with a new cell cam here today....after spendin' a few hours (in mall AC) - pickin' up a new cellphone.

    Nothin' interesting...just a test. Its from a Samsung SGH1609 model (1.3mP), and we're still monkeying around with all the features at the moment.

    Anyways...good or bad? Whatcha' think?

          I'm kinda' cellphone challenged...but this one rather impresses the hell outta me so far. Plays mp3s (like an ipod), takes digital stills and does video also.

          I'm hopin' it'll cook me bacon 'n eggs in the AM.

                          took these the other day with my cell phone (the motorola razr with 2mp camera)

                          i was sort of impressed with how they turned out... i wasn't really trying to take pics at all. my wife had the real camera... i was just walking around pointing my phone camera at shit and snapping pics out of boredom.

                              I just wanted somethin' small and compact - I wasn't expecting the quality to be too good...but I'm pleasantly surprised so far.

                              The salesgirl (who wasn't hard on the eyes, to boot)...tossed in a 512mb SD storage card on the deal - and was incredibly patient (and informative) with all my lame techie questions for almost an hour.

                              She really knew her stuff; its been a long while since I've dealt with such a great salesperson. Her nice cleavage had NOTHING to do with us spending a lot more than we intended.

                                                                      That's sorta' what I went through earlier in the day. My head was spinning after the first hour...trying to compare features, plans and prices between two different services (telus & rogers). We've been with telus for a few years and like their service...but they didn't have the particular model of phone I wanted.

                                                                      At least the air conditioning was good in the mall, heh (it was over 100F outside).

I was under the impression that the VGA camera in RAZR V3 was a bit lousy compared to the rest on the market. I left the shop without it but perhaps I should buy it anyway.
