    About the DataCenter:
    Los Angeles DataCenter Security
OC3Networks takes physical security seriously with Tri-layer Authentication. All visitors to the Los Angeles Datacenter must first past the building security checkpoint before being allowed to access to elevators to our floors. Once authorized an OC3Networks staff member escorts the visitor to our 9th floor offices where their ID is checked and their access logged. Only then are then escorted to one of our many data center floors. Each Datacenter is protected by double doors with redundant authorization.

    Los Angeles DataCenter Power
Each of our Data Center Floors are independently controlled and powered from separate UPS and Generator sets. With the option to choose multiple UPS redundancy levels, LA Datacenter customers may also choose from multiple isolated datacenter environments, separating their equipment across multiple datacenter for maximum redundancy. The distributed power systems are fed by multiple grids.

    Los Angeles DataCenter Cooling Systems
Each of the isolated Los Angeles DataCenter environments run independent cooling systems each with their own built-in redundancy. Each environment runs multiple, redundant, libert and APC cooling units fed by separate and redundant chiller units.

    Los Angeles DataCenter Fault Tolerance
Water, power, and temperature are checked hourly by trained NOC staff to insure no failure of monitoring systems.

    Los Angeles DataCenter Fire Protection
OC3Networks employs a range of early detection and fire suppression systems in each of its Los Angeles DataCenters ranging from FM-200 to dual interlock dry pipe systems. Each staff member is trained in early action fire prevention and recovery.

    Los Angeles DataCenter Connectivity
Sharing a wall with One Wiltshire, one of the most interconnected buildings in the world, OC3Networks’s currently has over 60 GBITS per second of connection to 3 independent meet me rooms. Our large premium bandwidth uniquely blends 9 major T1 and T2 carriers redundantly connected via dark fiber to 3 major meetme rooms.

I didn't click thru, but what does $59 get you?

I remember the days it barely got you a virtual account with 100 gigs of transfer.

                                  Spend you some brain.

wow, I can't believe you get these prices in California.

in Montreal I pay 1500$ CAD per month for 1/2 cabinet with 4MBPS and 20 amps. Peer1 networks. Too bad I need to be near my servers or I'd move over there in a sec

you know that now a days, you will NEVER fill a cabinet -- power will always be your limitation in ANY datacenter.

Not true our new 59K sq ft. long island data center has 3 phase power =) 60 amp per rack. apologies in advance for the thread jack ;)

So what? I can put 60A per cab as well and have many people running 60A, that still doesn't mean you are going to fill the rack. It depends on the power usage per server you have.

Now a days, your chances of filling a rack are slim and its not that big of a deal. Space is cheaper than power!

If I understand Mike, he is telling you they run 60 Amps, three phase... that is the same as 180 Amps at 120 V

                                                    We run approx. 90 Amps @ 120v to most racks, thats 208v @ 30 amp and 120v @ 30 Amps

Power is one of the biggest issues facing most data centers across the nation but it is not the same in all parts of the country, that is for sure. Another thing to keep in mind, just because a data center wont give you 60+ amps per rack does not mean they do not have the power available, it could be they simply cannot cool what they have. Consider how much cooling it takes to cool racks of hardware. 2000 sq ft of space running needs around 90 Tons of cooling to handle about 60 amps per rack average.

But some of us are not having power or cooling issues and sorry, not intending a hijacking
