I recently heard about the CEO of Deutsche Bank who was asked if he thought America would be a super power in 20 years. He answered, "yes, of course". When asked why when even some Americans don't think so he replied that it's because of the culture. In America, every child born into any social or economic class feels they have a shot to be whatever they want. In fact, children are EXPTECTED to do better than their parents and rise above the circumstances they were born into. Some other countries have this belief, but nowhere else is it such a part of the culture as it is in America. Think about it, our favorite stories are the ones where someone comes from the lowest of classes to rise above and become a huge success. We actually discount stories of people being born into upper class who achieve success.

That's what makes America the center of innovation in technology, culture, and business and will continue to do so.

Barack Obama doesn't need to save the country, the American people can do all the heavy lifting. All he has to do is create an environment where Americans can succeed and the people will do the rest.
