The place in front of my chair underneath is loaded with my UPS, subwoofer, various other cabling etc. And cables run to each cpu on each side. With that footrest in place I can sit and be comfortable all day with ease.

The 8600 was the cheapest DX10 card with two DVI outputs I could find, since it doesn't require any horsepower at all.
