Again, the Russians makes great "new' fighters, but they have never been proven extensively in combat. The Mig-29 was truly one of the best planes built, but too complicated for non-russian pilots. This has been proven many times in the Indian Air Force alone. For every 1 Mig-29 purchased 3 crashed. (they switched back to the simple Mig-21) The IAF started buying Mirage 2000H from the French because MIG or Sukhoi-30 replacement parts were to exspensive or not avalible. Why would they or anyone else make a big deal out of old munitions (80's) that cannot and could not have been used for years and years for their intended purpose. Munitions that everyone knew Iraq had, and as previously stated, from '91 to '98 literrally thousands and thousands of these munitions had been destroyed by the inspectors. If the Russians are soo damm technologically advanced militarily then why couldn't they even crack open a naval sub and save those poor seamen when 2-3 other countries could have with their 'old' equipment?

You are correct the US is the only country that has the money to spend on training our forces almost continuosly and this applies to all of our forces. During the cold war a few soviet pilots and other military types defected. A tank commander said that he was allowed to fire two live rounds per year and in those days they did not have simulators. One cannot become proficient with his weapons platform by firing two live rounds per year. That is a fucking joke.
