I'd say Audi A4/BMW 7 series (facelifted) actually.
Price: they say it's going to be more expesive than the current M3, but cheaper than the Audi RS4.
Audi RS4 in the UK is GBP49,000; BMW UK says the 08 M3 will cost GBP43,000. So that's basically your vantage point. Obviously the UK price is around double the US price, but you get the idea.
BMW says it's going to have a 4L 444bhp V8. 6sp Manual as standard. 19" wheels, and if you look closely, ventillated brakes.
Looks-wise... It looks good from the front, especially in the photo where it's wearing CSL wheels, but I don't like the side profile. Looks too long at the moment.
I heard that the 3 series thatis coming out soon is going to be smokin fast too. Beats the current M3 or very close. Throw a rag top on those pics and she will work for me.
its not a new m3 you newbies... they just testing engine and electronics in a mule ... look at the hood closely, the engine is sticking out, that's a regular 3 series body....

I feel as though BMW never really improved their interior over the course of the years such as, say, Mercedes. Look at the interior of the 7 series and the interior of the S class or CL... different leagues.

Absolutely right. I was fortunate enough to drive in one of those mules a few years back, when they were testing the current M5 engine and brakes in a regular 5-series body. Funny shit: they must have used a dremel tool to cut out space for the extra 2 exhaust pipes in the rear bumper...

Good eye. Also notice that the M3 "gills" aren't there either.
