When did CNN become the new foxnews?

I will admit I don't watch the news much on TV, I get most of my news from the net unless it's something big that happening. So I tune into CNN to see the pre election day dramas.

It's been non stop praise of John McCain and almost a constant bashing of Obama. Every other commercial has been some GOP add attacking Obama. Then last week when Obama ran his 30 min campaign commercial CNN wouldn't sell Obama the air time but instead gave John McCain a "free" half hour show with Larry King.

I'm amazed at how pro McCain they are and how anti Obama. I thought maybe I was watching Fox news.

In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

Is the CNN in the US different than in Canada? Everything I've been watching for the past two months shows, if ANYTHING, they're pro-Obama. They TRY to be impartial but, if you listen closely, fail badly.

There is no such thing as a true dedicated news channel anymore. They are all a for-hire media pumping out partisan biased agendas. It is all like some bad joke.

They no longer report the news... the report the news as THEY see it, giving you THEIR spin on it and THEIR opinions.

Just look at how that bug eyed bitch Nancy Grace is all over that Casey Anthony (tot mom) like some crazed foaming pitbull. Whatever happened to "Equal Justice Under Law" and "Innocent Until Proven Guilty"? I think that what is going on in these times is abuse of journilistic integrity, a good journalist reports the news and leaves the interpretation up to the reader or viewer.

And don't even get me start on all the fucking celebrity bullshit in the news....

It just depends on when you watch... Some moments are overly pro-McCain and then other moments are overly pro-Obama. For the majority of the time, the past few weeks, they've been pro-Obama. McCain just has more ad money the last few days.

An Obama win probably signals a change in cable news coverage. I don't see 24/7 politics anymore.

McCain on the other hand provides a ton political story angles.

Now consider that FOX and CNN revolve around politics and you can see who they need to win.

As with most cable outlets carried on cable, your local cable company (TimeWarner, Comcast, whoever) has a certain number of ad spots to run per hour that CNN doesn't own --- and they obviously sold the spot to Fox News.

Now the next president gets to pick at least two supreme court justices. So that can effect our business big time.

I will first say that I have nothing but much much respect for Lt. Col Dave Cummings I respect his word his writings his service very much but on this one I do not agree. although you and him have made the most valid points from any of the as I call them "extremist" on here...

but living in a world where my income comes from adult but I also see tons of other stuff in the world .... I have always agreed that they need to leave adult out of it... and I still think that... I think if it's legal in your bedroom it should be legal to film it and sell it... some people see different...

Do I think a handful of pornographers are going to change an election one way or another? No I dont but I do think its important we all know our history. So I try to get the word out. I visit my folks at least once a week and there is a big old mccain/palin sign on their front lawn. So I can be open to all types of thought.

I watch Larry King and Anderson Cooper every night and they always present politics in a fair and balanced manner. That is why I like it so much. CNN in general is like this. I have no idea what crockett is talking about. You can't get more fair and balanced news than on CNN. Just for good measure, I also read The New York Times and USAToday. I ocassionally check liberal and conservatives sites too. So you can see that I get my news from a variety of sources.

If you are watching and reading only American news sources, then you are being fed the American Kool Aid propaganda flavor of the day, if you REALLY want to know what's really going on in the in the rest of the world, (or want to know how they feel about the U.S.) then you have to watch the BBC, France 24, and dare I say it, Press TV.

Maybe CNN's refusal to allow Obama to buy 30 minutes of space shows how IMPARTIAL they are. Other networks allowed it because they are in it for the money.

And there is nothing wrong with Larry King interviewing McCain just before the election.

Or maybe it was all their big scam. CNN supported McCain all along. The sheep voters vote for the last name they hear. So CNN kept talking about Obama for the last year so you would watch, and now at the last minute, they tell yo to vote for McCain.

Remember, the people who run CNN are rich. And rich people don't share the wealth.
