    Need opinions on a forum I bought

    Hello,

    I recently bought www.punanispot.com and I was just wondering what everyone thought of it. The Name, The Layout, The marketability, ect.

    I checked wordtracker and the word "punani" gets 600+ searches per day, so Im thinking with the right SEO done to it, I can have the site be very good in Search Engines and get a lot of traffic that way.

          So you bought forum that have 25 posts, it's running on a free phpBB and it's poorly indexed in Google. I think you made bad deal.

              I only spent $9.00 on it for the domain and the forum. The forum already has 73 users.

                      yea. with the 70+ users, a few decent posts, and a good name with punani being searched 600 times daily, i believe I can get this site high in the rankings and get some good traffic to it, with some new users.

                              yeh i mean $9 plus a bit of hosting, all u need is 2 sales a month and bang ur should breakeven, nice move

                                  the 70 users is worth way more than 9 bucks, now you just have to keep them around. How many of those 70 have posted recently?

                                      ^^not that many. maybe 2-3.

                                      I am working on getting everything up, and putting some new posts up myself, then mass emailing all users to get them to come back and check it out and let them know its under new ownership and we are making it better than before, ect.

                                      Any tips on what I could do with it to make it better than it is now?

                                          I would use some more dark colours in the design of the forum, you need to give the server more the feeling that he's a part of a community..

                                              Set some fake accounts up, make it look like a busy place. get an unique style - at least a header. Just get it rolling somehow
