    What's on your keyring?

How many keys are too many keys?

You know, I looked at my keys today and thought I might be going into janitor territory. You know, there's always a guy with a lot of keys and a small dick...With the addition of two office keys from work, I now have eleven keys...
    1-Safe deposit key
    5-Gun lock keys
    1-Key to my office
    1-key to my partner's office
    1-key to front door
    1-Handcuff key
    1-Car Key

I noticed that when you hold it up, the keys flair out!

I really can't afford to take any off the ring, no sense in locking guns up unless nobody can get the keys, right? I keep em in a safe, but I have kids so I'm not taking chances. Is this Janitor territory or what?

I may add that I have NO bullshit keychains or anything, just the ring. Maybe I need a bigger ring.

What do you guys keep on your keyring?

i have saved a few kids with mine that just came across a set of cuffs and tossed them on someone without ever thinking to make sure there was a key to unlock them...and i've been called at like 3am being asked to drive across town and unlock a friend who's girlfriend cuffed him to the bed and didn't have a key

My most used "key ring" is one of those things that looks like the old curly phone cords. It's at least 15 years old and I keep it on my wrist most of the time I'm not in the car or it's not in my pocketbook. There's my house key, salon key and keys for both cars.

Then I have another key ring with the keys to my storage room (one for the locked gate, one for the room) that's just an old silver ring

Then an USAF key ring with my personal mailbox key and the key to the salon mail box.

Then I have ANOTHER one with the key to my mailbox in ATL with the key to get in the front door.

THEN ANOTHER key chain (and this one is actually a chain ) with duplicates of all the above keys that I keep at home all the time.

As you can tell, I hate having a heavy key ring but I have a lot of crap I have to unlock. Plus I have 3 different safe deposit keys (mine, Dad's and brother's) in a jewelry box ;)

                      Let me look.

Little leather flap attached to a ring (dealership on flap, no idea why I kept it).
                      Van key
                      House key
Electronic lock, alarm, blah blah device.
Small canister of mace in leather flip pouch.
                      -Attached ring:
bestbuy, playercard, hallmark, petco, officemax, office depot, Ace hardware, and VPI pet insurance tag things.

Thats it on that set of keys. I think wifes has about same. Then our property ring has keys to rentals, house, storage sheds, locks around yard, etc.

I think I'm the only person who still uses cards. I have about 10 of them in my wallet because I refuse to put them on my keyring

pretty sure there is a pretty universally standard key shape for the mass produced cheapo's u'd buy at a flea market or porn shop...and then law enforcement has different pattern that is issued as their universal standard, but individual cops can proly buy nicer ones that are harder to pick and have weird key patterns...i have mine from a swap meet when i was like 10...proly lost the cuffs the first day but the key has come in handy for 20 years

i should point out that is just an educated guess i really don't know for sure...
