    Could you imagine getting $219,000 for updating a logo?

    Not creating one, just updating one a little... $219,000!!!!!


    "The symbol that has identified the Province of Ontario for more that 40 years, the Trillium, has been given a controversial facelift.

    It was created in 1964 and has been slightly modified over the years but the latest version joins the images of three people together, although its still trying to look like a flower.

    The redesigned logo cost the provincial liberal government $219,000. Critics point out the new Ontario logo looks very similar to the Trillium that's embedded in the latest logo of the Ontario Liberal Party, the one perched just above the letter i. "

              Similare thing happened a good few years ago now with Ducati motorcycles

              they changed their very nice font to a very plain and square font for the word "Ducati"

              cost them hahaha163;75,000 to have that done

                      Batts, I remember that and what about the more than basic redesign of the Commonwealth Bank logo, I believe they paid millions!

                              almost bad as an aussie government webpage that cost $4 million to make

                              well 4million not just for a webpage , but here is the breakdown
                              The $4 million cost to taxpayers included:

                              * $1.2 Million spent on website development
                              * $956,000 spent on hosting and support services
                              * $928,000 spent on software; and
                              * $661,000 spent on hardware.

                                                  "Doug needs a new logo, $2500 by next Friday."
                                                  "Oh, this grocery store is looking for a new look, $15,000 within 3 months."
                                                  "Tina needs a corporate look... $5,000 a month tops."
                                                  "The government? A few changes? $219,000!!!"

                                                  And the government just goes "Hmm.. ok, can you have it done in say... 15 months?"
