Anybody else find that GFY has become close to useless?

It's all because of sigs.

I used to come to this site and most threads were interesting or had some value.

But now almost every thread on the front page is worthless. People are just trying to put their sigs out there, and then each worthless thread gets 30 or 40 one-word responses by other idiots trying to get their sigs displayed.

This isnt 2002/2003 anymore. Like everything else, GFY has evolved. There are still lots of webmaster forums out there that are strictly moderated and categorized with very meaty threads. For the most part, I find them dull and boring though.

GFY is the #1 webmaster board on the internet for a reason. They must be doing something right.

He's not complaining about seeing people's sigs. He's complaining that the sig whores have made this board useless with stupid threads and useless replies. Turning off sigs won't change that.
