I have responded to hundreds of domestic disputes. The "best" solution is to avoid talking to the police, they aren't here to help you, they are looking for you to slip up. We are trained to do this.

He legally did not have to open his door. He legally could have said, "I did not do this, she slipped, get me a lawyer", and they would have had to do it. He did not have to open the door, and he "never" has to "allow" them in his house.

The police do not have open rights to do as they choose. They think they do, but they don't. This is why armed, masked, swat teams break down legal polygamists doors, steal children away from them, no investigation, no checking facts, just did it. They ripped families apart...and later found out they were wrong.... wow! That's a fucking police state, not police protecting people.
