High End Hosting - WANTED

I currently have a:
Dual 3.06 Xeon
2 gig ram
2000 Gig bandwidth

I'm maxing out the bandwidth and the cpu load.
BTW This is just one site.

What is the next step. I'm looking at some load balancing options but I know there have to be some big guys pushing tons of traffic that can give me some advice.

If you have something to offer let me know prices and specs or if it's just a referral thats fine too.

what are you paying for that? i use ev1servers. i found their prices to be very competitive.

SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

Price is important but not the top factor for me.

heya Tiger,

for managed hosting in the caliber you're looking at I would recommend 3 different hosting companies. ISPrime, NatNet, and MojoHost. I know a couple people with load balanced solutions at ISPrime and NatNet, and I heard second hand that MojoHost can do the deed.

Of course, you're going to want to make sure that your site's software is load balance capable as not all scripts are. Depending on what you're doing, you may actually get some more room out of your server if you tweak your httpd.conf, php.ini, and mysql config. Also, if your site is PHP intensive, have your hosting co look into eAccelerator, it's free and can really open the ceiling on your hardware as well as speed up delivery. I know because i ran into a similar problem with the same hardware you have.

my script wasn't load balance capable so i moved my database over to a new server, tweaked apache/php, and now my server load is back to less than 3 even at peak times.

What Pat said is absolutely true, those 3 are great choices.

actually, i do have one more thing to note, if you're beating up that hardware and only pushing 2000GB of bandwidth, you may want to check your code as well. that's very little bandwidth for that server to be dishing out. my box is pushing 50mbps (~16000GB) of tgp traffic (not galleries, but tgp sites).

Well actually 95% of the traffic is just html so I'm not sure what I could be doing wrong.

Definitely check out ATCI before you make any decisions. They may not be the cheapest, but their support staff is great!
