                                                              The code at the moment is "not so good" with tables stuck in the middle of paras, - there are changes needed to td's where a background attribute has been used - also height attributes in table tags etc

                                                              Strongly suggest same as Young - convert this to css and have far more control over the layout (and easy has hell to change! )

                                                                                          It looks like something a laboratory would use. Certainly way too "stiff" for a comedy site. You need to soften up the graphics, add a little bevel, shadows, and some lighting. "Happier" colors could help too.
