    And we take a 10% cut in earnings.

                                                                          Sure is... around 22.4357 CZK currently - tho has been worse at 21.6990, but - let's get real - there is more than a strong possibility it will drop below even the lowest figure yet.

                                                                          Sheesh... just doing a US/Euro history... Euro was converting at .88 cents - and now $1.27 - approx 30% difference.

                                                                          Time for a substantial price hike in dollar signups plus payment methods in other currencies.

A .39 cent increase from .88 cents to $1.27 is 45% of .88 cents. I've seen shifts of 12% in the exchange rate within the last 6 months abroad. . Regardless, it sucks ass when you're dealing in US currency, but there's not much to be done about it this second. Just hold on for the ride.

                                                                                                          The plus side is it is an excellent time for buying up stuff at dollar values - good stuff, like real estate etc. Got a good few people dumping money (GBP and Euros) into property investments which are expressed in dollar values. Basically means a UK person is buying an eg.. 4 bedroom home/pool/blah in a few acres of grounds for 150K GBP - basically stuff that would cost $1.4 - $1.8 mill in the UK. (Only difference is the climate is better)

                                                                                                          But sure.. on net stuff it's pretty much messed, but that will change.

I visit the US more than any country in the world for my holidays, because of choice and not just to see my Mum.

                                                                                                                                                  I've been up the Empire State Building, The Statue of Liberty, smoked dope in Greenwich Village, been to Washington, Memphis, Florida, the Keyes, 2 Disneylands, Memphis, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Las Vegas, San Francisco and alot more places in the US. Took all three wives to the US including the last two on honeymoon.

I could not live in places like LA, or So Cal, but I reckon I have a lot in common with a lot of Americans. I could live in San Fran, Nappa Valley or the Mid West, love NY but could not live there for long.

                                                                                                                                                                                      Because the US dollar gets kinda screwed is not any reason for anyone else to take a cut in their earnings. The same applies to eg.. any product imported to the US - basically it costs more.

                                                                                                                                                                                      The world is not gonna take a price cut because the dollar drops - would you cut your costs if eg the Euro dropped? I don't think so

                                                                                                                                                                                      One bit that is possible... and on the table already, is the prospect of further reductions in the dollar. That is one dangerous load of crap and the clock is running on this - let's hope it does not happen.

Anyone successful in business will already have 'slashed expenses' if they have just an ounce of sense simply to make their profits as high as possible without the dollar entering into the equation.

                                                                                                                                                                                          Like it or not a weak dollar has a knock-on effect which will include some big price hikes for many goods in the USA if left unchecked. It's not only those outside the USA paid in dollars that need to worry about it.

The currency imbalances on the porn biz is miniscule in comparison to the underlying major problem.

Only my worth, but smelling more and more there are going to be some very substantial changes in lifestyle soon (hell.. the ball is already rolling) and can see the dollar dropping substantially more in the years ahead. Until the ... almost "national credit card" is terminated and borrowing from other nations is vastly reduced (currently around $10 bill/day) and a reduction of trade deficits starts - there is little hope of much improvement. It's already not sustainable.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      The problem is a simple one for those confused about why it should mean a hike. These days a HUGE percentage of goods are made outside of the USA, most in the Far East. The 'normal' currency for payment of these goods is the dollar. With the dollar worth a lot less for prolonged periods, manufacturers in the Far East must raise prices to compensate as their own bills are for the most part paid in local currency.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      If you delve deeper into global economics there are even more knock-on effects but they are more difficult to explain and also better left to those studying economics these days that have a clue (amazing how many taking a course like that at college don't have much of a clue) rather than my own babbling.
