Hey, where I grew up I never had to lock a door either lover. I grew up in a 'village' where everybody knew everybody and we had no fears. When we moved to a bigger town (hey, this one had like 700 people! yah!) it was the same thing, we never had to lock anything or worry about stealing. First time I ever had to worry about stealing is when I moved to Mississippi, worst mistake of my entire life. Well, when I say that they are totally useless, is for a normal person with a normal knowledge in laws and data interpretation. For sure that for an expert can be helpfully. But These experts must have really huge knowledge in each country laws. For example in some countries is illegal porn, so porn is a crime there and not in other countries. Now with the world cup, I saw in news that in some countries see the world cup on tv is illegal. so it's a crime there and not in another country.... Apparently, some countries do stuff like... count "multiple instances" of a crime in the tally - others just round a "multiple instance" case into one recorded offense etc. Can't remember it all now, but, yea, basically boils down to nobody actually records a level playing field - it's left up to whatever govt to record their stats in whatever fashion they choose - tho they often have a "crime recording standard" - but hell - that is still not the same as other countries.
