That entire thing was done with trackback spam on wordpress sites and 4th level domains.
Google only indexes 1 index page on the first pass to a new domain. They had trouble with third level stuff, so they blocked that out for the most part - so this ass went and did everything as 4th level domains something.somethingelse.domain.com and google picked up everything.
If you run wordpress and you see "test post" or "blog test 125465" posts, you are about to be overrun with comment spam. Spam Karma or Akismet will help you slow these fuckers down.
I have had one of my blogs pick up 4000 comments in under an hour. These fuckers are insane, stupid, and overdone...Comment
