Music is a matter of opinion and personal taste. The "best rapper" to one person might be the worst rapper to another person. One person might think classical is the best music while the next person might think Salsa is the best music ever lol...

Hes been rapping longer than Eminem. Only decent Eminem album is Slim Shady LP. The rest were weak.

btw, you guys are missing the whole point of the article. they never said eminem was the best alive they said he was voted the best alive. everyone has their own idea of the best alive, eminem just happened to be the favorite of the most people. i dont even think i could pick my favorite 10 best rappers, theres just way too many talented artists out there.

Honestly what does rapping skill have to do with albums sold? There are tons of idiot rappers now with huge commercial success... for example Soulja Boy. He produces shitty ass music that shouldn't even be called rap and his fans are mainly 14 year old sluts.

I'd rather listen to a broke ass guy that raps meaningfull stuff instead of the bullshit you see on TV or hear on the radio nowadays.

that was a comment to him about the fact that he said apathy had been rapping longer than eminem and the guy didnt even come out with an album until 2 years ago. like i said before i dont think neither are the greatest rappers ever.

Exactly. Eminem was successful because he sucked major dick for Interscope and was given attention by Dr Dre.

Eminem is very talented, but far from best rapper alive. He's not even top 5. Rakim is my favorite rapper still breathing.

Its out of Eminem, JayZ, Nas at this time. Eminem & Jaz has crossed over into super star where Nas is more street level in a way. The whole point of ANY artist is to get his songs to the most ears and Eminem does that more than NAS. I like weezy and all but he doesnt come close to either despite pushing more albums. People hate Eminem because he is white but he has more skills than ANY one out other than NAS and Jay Z.
