Because half the stuff being said about him by McCain/Palin/Surrogates/supporters are ridiculously outrageous and verifiably false. eg. half the claims in this thread have been debunked a gazillion times already
Because McCain demonstrated his judgement by choosing Palin as a running mate. It's shortsighted and dangerous. While Obama is far from ideal, Palin is an utter trainwreck.
Because Obama at least has the edge of being a symbolic gesture. No matter who wins, we're going to stay in the middle east. Taxes are going up no matter what eventually. Whoever gets in is going to be highly constrained because there is no money to fund projects they're proposing.
