Actually, I think I know why she knocked it down to 60. That gives you the opportunity to take traffic school (if otherwise eligible), and at 65 you probably could not have.

Hmmm... good to know. It was in fact 65 before she took it down. I wont contest it of course, just try to get the traffic school if I even bother doing that.

Well, depends if you have a good driver discount on your insurance or not, and if you want to risk losing that.

With 3 insured vehicles I do what I can to keep it.

The fines are actually pretty cheap, it is the 150% penalty assessment that they tack on that makes it harsh.

You only beat a laser ticket if the cop doesn't show up. They don't wait for their money as you have to post bail (equal to the amount of the fine).

The only way you don't post bail is if you appear in court and request that you be OR'ed (which they will usually grant, but you had to spend valuable time with an additional day in court. You can also file a written Motion to have your arraignment and trial at the same appearance, and request for release on your own recognizance. Unless you know what you are doing, you will never write a good enough one.).
