    Hopefully I will be able to buy a 2nd house there once...

    I know most Americans dislike them for some reason...But they probably never visited France themselve anyway...

    You gotta love their wine, food, nature, and when you speak French yourself, they are very willing to help you as well...

                                  I am american, i have been to about 20 countries and spent a lot of time traveling europe. france is one of my favorite countries and i have been to every corner of france many times.

No really I love France, but I have one problem, I can't shake off my Yorkshire accent, it makes my French speaking a touch on the clumsy side and the French love finishing off sentences in English, just to prove how multi lingual they are.

My grandfather who fought in Europe finds it not so funny. Politics aside, they've been dicks to american tourists for decades. Not just recently. They can be dicks if they want as long as they keep exporting cognac.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      One interesting thing I've noticed about living in manila is there are many x-pats from many countries. It seems like all can co-mingle quite well but the french x-pats dont talk to other people, just eachother. Just what Ive noticed so far. I'm sure that's not uniform.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      side note: this one french guy owns a harley davidson themed bar called "handlebar"....it's odd. But the funniest thing is the menu calls french fries "freedom fries"
