Single core CPU, I can push 15-20 megabit, Dual core, I can push maybe 50 megabit, Dual Quadcore I can hit 70 megabit per server. I'd like to get that up towards 100 megabit as the hardware cost is killing my ROI when I need to spread it over multiple boxes. I've been using Windows as believe it or not, Windows has a better CPU management for java than linux so I'm also getting killed in license fees to microsoft.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is probably better suited towards private communication as I'm sure there are some details of your setup you won't want public. I can be reached via [email protected], or if you prefer AIM/ICQ philtwoone/25285313.

I am mostly curious as to why you're utilizing Java for static content. Are you doing live streaming? Or something else?

Java, in my opinion, is freaking horrible. I cringe whenever we have to support something running it :/

Thanks!
