PR up - traffic down? Anybody seen that?

lol I dropped PR to PR3 but my google traffic went up with approx. 0.5-1k/day

Just because PR is up does not mean that traffic is as well.

It's a normal phenomenon with new sites, they move around alot and as said before: PR is never a good indicator for traffic. I have a PR6 mainstream site that barely gets 1k visitors a day...

Pure coincedence. Uncorrelated.
You did not get the pr2 on the day it was shown or the pageranktool but before.
It takes time to transfer.
Since the site is still new I assume the total amount of google traffic is still low. Small numbers can make a big change in the percentages then.
And as WiredGuy said....ranking in the serps is a better indicator for your amount of traffic....

You should worry about your SERPs, and not PR.
