Oddly why is it that some Dutch (I think if I recall) natural gas companies are already dealing with what would be their massive CO2 emissions by pumping it back into the ground as they extract it from the natural gas? Pretty sure they would not be doing this if it was not already a profitable way to deal with emission standards.

An added benefit is that it increases the life of the oil/gas wells. In the episode of project earth with the carbon scrubber they visit an offshore Statoil platform that pumps the CO2 back into their well.
