for all the bleeding hearts in here, have a shit over this. every year i fill my supplumentary tag in the first few days blowing the head of a fawn. they are young, dumb, and tasty as all fucking hell. those little steaks melt in your mouth so good! it's like heaven on your tongue. i wait for the first young fawn (sometimes a yearling) who stands within reasonable range and give me the clear shot, and i do my best to skullcap the fucker. you know, like the pink mist? the jfk shot? there's no running away after you take one of those shots. a wounded deer running fills with blood, toughens up the meat a bit. there's ain't no better eating than a nov 4th bambi with his head blown clear off....
besides it helps get that itchy trigger finger fever out, and allows me to maintain some sense of patience while trophy hunting...
