Wow, after reading that Megan I realized we had a lot more in common that I thought, hehe. In regards to what you said about dating in the industry, it's called "you don't shit where you eat" and unfortunately, I had to learn that through experience like you. That always sucks. But in my opinion what you're going through is not because of the industry we're in, it's because you're a highly intelligent, ambitious go-getter that's also highly competitive. It's unfortunate that only a small percentage of men are able to be with a woman like you because most men eventually become threatened. I know alot of woman with your same story. My advise to you and to my gf's encountering the same dilemma...focus on your career now while it's only you and you have the ability to do it. You're right..it's always a boy's club at the top, and to compete you have to be able to work harder and put in more hours than they do. You'll have enough time for everything else later...when you're at the top.
