Im with Jace on this one...while Im no real fan of free porn I dont see how this is any different than a TGP or an MGP really...just another tool I can use to get some traffic at the expense of my content going into the public domain...but at leasdt I dont have to pay anyone to put it there and I dont have to pay the bandwidth....Mike South

Pornotube isn't that different from TGP/MGPs...if you check the site, most of the videos right now are the smaller teaser videos sponsors are giving affiliates already.
It certainly doesn't help to have another avenue for free porn, but it's not like you can say shutdown this and not call for every other source of free porn on the net to be shutdown as well. A wait and see attitude is what should apply for the moment...as long as Pornotube has some regulations to stop what gets uploaded, etc. it's no different than an MGP.
It probably will change the role of affiliates...sponsors could dump their teaser clips on pornotube and the affiliate gets removed from the equation completely.See Sig...oh wait.Comment

I'm looking at it this way, Pornotube can more or less usurp MGPs if it's done right and they're adopting the popular youtube format. That's really the only way to do it, really. I know smashbucks.com is one of the best when it comes to affiliate relationships, as this is not a small undertaking with thousands of affliates.
My thoughts are not many others would do that, and keep the full enchilada to themselves.

It's hard to compete in a total free for all, if only sponsors were allowed to UPLOAD content it would be a diff story, or affiliate allowed to describe and upload clips with their code/link would be fair and more profitable for everyone.
There are a number of ways to capitialize on these obvious user demands for both community/interactivity and free content.
They key is BRAND BRAND BRAND EVERY FRAME or PIC and create as many revenue models as possible. I wrote about this AGAIN in an article recently http://www.cozyfrog.com/guides/money...nueOptions.asp
Memberships seems to be dying as people want more .. either to collect tangibly or to share with friends. Viral content is powerful but as people trust privacy on computers/internet online they may want something they can view/hide offline as well .. plus tangibles like DVDs and customizably created content created by the user, compiled and sent to the consumer, tangibles are more difficult to charge back upon acquiring a signature or confirmation on delivery
