      One of my favorite authors really coined "brass tacks" in today's popular literature. Such a shame seeing it used in this context.

          i'm voting for obama too, so in essence i am two of those.

          i am voting against mccain and republican bullshit and for obama at the same time. too bad hillary isnt the vp.

              Brass tacks is an object used in the popular expression "get down to brass tacks". The expression usually means clearing out confusing details and finding out the real facts about something.

              The context is which I used it is correct without regard to whether you want it to be used in the manner I did.

                      I'm not voting "for" McCain in as much as I am voting against Obama. There are quite a few differences I have with McCain but they are just that - differences.

                      I have real concerns about Obama and I don't want him in office when things boil over in the Middle East.
