Yo...this one is good Jay. I'll tell you this, we make content and we have DMCA'd Guba a couple of times and they take the stuff down. We would sue (like others have suggested) but to tell you the truth we are tired of suing people. There is nothing that gets us heated more then our shit being stolen. Oh yeah FYI, I be approachin muthafuckas about that shit, so beware all you theives. But the guys at Guba are good peeps (waz up Bart and Kathleen) and they buy a healthy amount of shit from us for their other sites (skinvideo and videobox) and I understand how usenet works. So are you a trader, no. But dude you don't make content so like others have said it's hard to understand. The guys at Guba know how most of us feel about the site and I think that is why they are doing other things. Don't be surprised if Guba aint around pretty soon. Oh yeah I almost forgot..... Actually - Guba doesnt handle adult stuff anymore - they have it under their skinvideo site now - as far as Guba going away - dont think that will happen now that a major mainstream studio/distributor has signed with them to distribute their stuffComment

do you realize that these sharing sites and p2p are evolving as we speak. even if you take them all away tomorrow, the future is going to be private sharing/trading networks. think about this, how will you stop people from sharing your content when you never know they even have it and are trading it? and, the sharing will all be done via proxy...
i predict that in less than 10 years, you will be able to join a private sharing network and get any music, video, or any content that matter, for free...
so either learn to protect your content or find ways to capitalize on the changing times...

jayeff is 100% right unless this industry starts to take responsibility for its own future. i know several people that are 100 times smarter than anyone in adult that make ridiculous amounts of money in ways that many of us haven't even thought of. there are people out there now, that don't post on boards, that don't go to shows that are shellacking the internet and "balling" in the real sense.
adult has no organization, won't unite, and will be extinct eventually.
i wonder to myself sometimes why i even waste my breath arguing and caring about an industry that doesn't even care about itself.
