          Buffet bought some Suntrust stock earlier in the year. I'd bet on them being ok.

              You will see more banks around the world failing.

              Fortis did fail but was given a ?11.2 billion bail out from the Benelux govts.

              Bank Hypo Real Estate Group, Germany's largest real estate lender, received a bank/govt bail out of ?35 billion.

              The UK Government took control of Bradford & Bingley on Monday morning after failing to find a private buyer.

              The Icelandic Central Bank acquired a 75% stake in Glitnir Bank for ?600 million to prevent it from failing.
