Someone gave me the site but i don`t understand flash so i gave it back to him.

I've been doing Flash for a long time bro... it's pretty sweet... virtually anything is possible. However, it ain't some javascript that your gonna pick up on in a few hours. If you're serious, get the program and allot yourself some serious learning curve time.

Once you've mastered Flash, if you wanna step it up to the next level, take on full blown Director Shockwave.

Several years ago I made a card game in Director... My understanding is that Flash is just a scaled down version of Director.

Can I do dynamic content with shockwave? I'm not a WYSIWYG person ;) I want to write a cgi to Flash for dynamic content... maybe I just need to go to the Flash website.

I'm just wondering why I don't see any Flash free sites... Or paysites for that matter.

Personally I think anything past HTML 2.0 is an annoyance ;) If Flash dies a slow death I'll be just as happy.

Yes... but of course Macromedia makes you buy Generator for this.

It's just too much for stuff like we do.... kinda like hittin' Osama with 40 cruise missiles. It's overkill. No one wants to spend the time it takes to make some killer flash just to end up using it for some free porn site. Plus, all the really cool shit you can do with Flash, can't really be used for high bandwidth porn sites. Flash itself creates relatively small file sizes... their compression is fucking amazing... but in my opinion.... I could build 50 or 100 pretty cool html sites in the time it would take to build one really kick ass flash site.

It's basically geared toward more mainstream big corporate fatheads who wanna show off to their colleagues, big money music people, and bizarro "look how fuckin' cool I am" type sites.

Just doesn't fit nto the porn world very well... still... Flash is cool nonetheless. I used to make some mind blowing Flash sites... stuff that made all the college IT boys heads turn in utter amazement... but ended up abandoning them all.... just too much of a headache and served no practical use.
