lil2, here's something you should know:

99% of the people giving you shit are just barely paying their rent with their online revenues, although to hear them talk you'd think they were R_n L_vi himself. Almost EVERY SINGLE TIME I find out what a big smack talker really makes I get a big laugh out of it.

You need to be on the newbie boards. GFY has some players but there are also a LOT of posers with personal issues looking for someone to take a whack at to make themselves feel a little better about their own shitty lives. Find ONE thing that works for you, and do it every day all day just like it was a real job, keeping in mind that you'll eventually build yourself up to the point where you can hire someone to do it for you and then you can move on to other things yourself

This board really isn't for newbies or people looking to learn basic things. It's for entertainment and breaking news that established webmasters can use which will only rarely be useful to you as a beginning webmaster. Go somewhere that's meant for newbies such as Voltar's site (I forget the url), build your bank and your skillz then come back and lay the smack down.
