                taking more for your sig is alot sadder....

                i'd rather have 10 cents a post... then $4k a month... i spend my free time here anyway... so $0.10 a post is pretty good, atleast im getting paid for something id do anyway...

                even if i didn't get the 10 cents, i'd still post exactly like i do... but instead of someone elses shit in my sig, i'd have my own shit there... i see it as enough money to buy beer or hosting at the end of the month, nothing more

                                Sigs were a response to dying boards and they worked: apparently, despite all the claims of vast fortunes being made in this business, nothing motivates webmasters as much as petty greed.

                                Okay you are talking specifically about posting for sig spots, but isn't the line a fine one? For example, you know such a ban will never happen because the board views and post counts would drop through the floor if it did. No more advertising revenue. So does that make your post as opportunistic as those which are more obviously motivated?
