That is a broad definition though that would require further definition to show how it pertains to each individual case. Filming, however, is a different story entirely with different limits and standards (well, if you have actually applied for a filming permit that is). Bottom line folks - whatever is published on websites, either in text, graphics or video, is open to any law agency within that jurisdiction to lay claims of "obscenity". Obscenity is illegal. The precise definition and any community standards may vary - but the final decider is a jury.
It costs a lot of time, money and resources to defend "obscenity" and, depending of a prosecutors strategy, it is often easier to prosecute ten "small fish" and know that the majority will simply enter guilty pleas and set precedents for attacking "large fish".
