What type of TV do you own?

I'm thinking of getting a plasma...

What do you currently own and what do you dislike about it?

I have 3 50"+ flat screens, two of which are plasmas. I HATE the plasmas. If you fall asleep while watching a DVD or walk away and the DVD menu stays on it burns the damn image into your screen. Most of them have a built in image cleaner to fix the problem, but still a pain in the ass in my opinion. I have a 65" Mitsubishi 1080p which is my favorite.

Yeah but say you are watching TruTV, the TruTV logo at the bottom stays in the same place so it gets burned into the screen (Not always as bad, it depends on the quality of the TV), then you go to watch a widescreen DVD. You see the logo burned into the black bars, and other shit all around. One of my plasmas isn't as bad, the Hitachi, but I also have a Vizio which is pretty horrible. It has a screen cleaner in the menu which I have to let run for like 15 minutes to remove the burns. I imagine if you left a DVD menu on for like a day you would have problems getting it off. If you don't mind the extra hassle, or the occasional logos throughout your screen, they are fine aside from that.

If I were in the market to buy another one, it would definitely be another 1080p and not a plasma.

I think st0ned is my long lost brother, only with a different TV.

Fuck truTV's goddamn logo. Fuck them twice. I killed my rerun recordings of Forensic Files and Masterminds; CourtTV is dead, and I don't need to advertise to the world that I watched 'Fox Lite'.

I have a Samsung 50" Plasma, and a Samsung 42" LCD. I love the LCD, hate the Plasma due to the burn-in issues and really awful handling of upscaling 480i/720p.

I have a 55 inch HD LCD, 35 inch one and then a 24 inch one in my bedroom. I thought about getting a plasma, but I know people that have one that hate it.

The cheaper they are, the worse they are - but the more expensive, no, they can still burn in.

I have an A&E logo burned into the corner of mine from watching 3 hours of "The First 48" earlier in the week. I'm getting sick of this shit.

I just bought this 50" Panasonic plasma and couldn't be happier

I don't have a Blu-Ray player yet but the XBOX 360 on it is incredible. No burn in issues but I'm careful how I use it.
You would really have to do something stupid for something to burn in on this set.

I looked long and hard at both Plasma and LCD before buying this, my first flat screen TV and Plasma ended up being the way to go.

                          No regrets
