I heard that with Tarantulas around, it is not a good idea to sleep outside because they are known to try to snip at hairs from your head to take for nests and you can get inadvertantly bitten if you accidentally squish at them when you feel them snipping your hair
haven't seen it myself but this is the story I have heard
