    I agree with you fluffygrrl, I thought the exact same thing when he made the post.... he may be including his other old sites that are not even in this project, because there is no way that the sites he has named in this project are getting those kind of numbers

    and anyone can fluke out and make 1 sale, I still think this project will be lucky to cover it's hosting and domain registration expenses

        Every time one of these threads start I always read with interest because I have a blog or two that actually do make sales, and I want to discern some useful advice to get more traffic and sales. I have regular postings on one of my blogs almost daily, but I still can't get much over 100 unique visitors a day despite submitting to a bunch of blog directories and getting some organic search engine traffic already.These thread starters rarely follow through...

                            I've rarely seen an adult blog setup to generate good traffic like a mainstream blog can. It might have a lot to do with the other blog webmasters being equally oblivious to what makes a blog tick. Blogs should be absolutely owning the search results for all adult terms, they could easily beat normal adult sites if everyone just copied mainstream.

                                Personally I hate blogs. I suck at making myself update regularly but I do know how to get them plenty of traffic and ranking well for their search terms. I don't need any adult work done but I'll drop you an ICQ in a few minutes to discuss. Be warned, it's nothing magical about how they work, just things I've picked up over the years and differences I recognize when reading mainstream vs adult.

                                                    12k uniques in 1 MONTH, that is 400 a day. That is 40 per blog per day. And no where I said the traffic was only from google.

                                                    But yaa It's impossible to get 40 uniques a day to a blog

                                                    Now let's take this for what it is I am not gonna say I ran this project like I wanted to, I got very very bizzy with other stuff but there is still time for me to pick it up when ever I feel like.

                                                    To give you 1 term that is bringing in some traffic: bubble booty . nr 7 now, was nr 5 last month. It is still only 1 term and beleive what you want but there are more, not as "big" but they all add up.

                                                    Now tell me what the fuck is so unbeleivable that a 10 blog network that only has a few updates is getting 400 uniques a day combined?

                                                                                                                    That blog is not getting 40, It's ~20, lol I know i have not updated some of them at all and that's just the way it rolls at the moment....

                                                                                                                    the traffic is combined though, seeing that the bubble booty one gets 200+ per day etc....

                                                                                                                    Sales are low ofcourse since I am not updating and growing traffic. It is still no problem to cover hosting etc on It's own so it will just sit tight untill I get bussy with it again.

                                                                                                                    I will be sure to update this thread though when I do.

                                                                                                                                so one thing that seems to be coming out of your experiment is that nowadays the average conversion rate of "unique traffic to site" vs. "paysite membership sale" for quality search engine blog generic porn term traffic is somewhere around 1:30000? am I close in this calculation (hard to extrapolate exactly from what you have given but this is a calculated estimate from what you have said... correct me if I am off)

                                                                                                                                        No. 1.30,000? woha man. I had 3 sales on 12k, that's 1:4000. Don't know what you got the 1:30,000 figure from?

Add a free trade script and put toplists on your blogs. Trade among your own sites and maybe a few out side sources.

                                                                                                                                                    Build a few toplist sites to add to the mix to drive traffic to your blogs.

                                                                                                                                                            In Aug traffic dropped slightly to just above 10k. Not so strange since updates = 0 :/

                                                                                                                                                            Only 1 paysite sale rendering in $50 too. Also 1 rebill.

                                                                                                                                                            Basically May and June are hard to talk that much about since they went live just before middle of June.

                                                                                                                                                            Sept so far 5900 uniques. So traffic is about the same, which is not so strange since it won't grow without updates. 1 rebill sale in Sept but no new sale so far.

                                                                                                                                                                I agree on you about he first sentences, but strongly disagree with no allies or friends in this biz. I could be nowhere without a little help from my friends and I always trying to give back as much as I can or help other ppl with what I can (or what they need). Every single week I find good and helpful webmasters who I love to work together with. If you think about fellow adult webmasters as competition it's very hard to reach your goals. If you find the Good People and you help each other it can make miracles!

                                                                                                                                                                                        I dont know about "we" but you can say so if you want Ofcourse I can't say I have done with the project really what I wanted but it is still a project that will be worked more on, so since I am not selling it or whatever and It's paying for it self just sitting there I can't really consider it FAIL.

                                                                                                                                                                                            Traffic will keep growing if you update frequently with original content and keep trading links with other updated sites in your niche.

                                                                                                                                                                                            To me having so many irons in the fire already it maybe would have been better if I made this project with 1 blog instead, but now It's 10 so i'll have to live with it ^^
