CHESS OR CHECKERS?
I have always felt I had a gift for the game of checkers, I mean how hard can it be? Chess on the other hand?well that takes a bit more strategy. After all, your king and queen are at play.
But alas, interesting how the easy game of checkers can find you getting tripled hopped in a blink because your move opened the door to the domino effect of being out of the game. But it was a simple move. Precisely.
Chess may not be any different, but have you ever seen anyone move a chess piece without deliberation far longer than checkers? That is where the real game is. They think about it longer, calculate (if they know how to play the game.) Someone wants your king and you want theirs. The stakes are higher...
So strategy going into any game, yes, even checkers, should be played with your pre assessment in mind. Every tactic or strategy you may have used in games past may not be the ones for this particular game. Each time you have to up your game based on the one you are playing with.
Because you want to win! But therein lies the question?.what is it you want to win?in business?...
